Masks and Channels

1. What is the benefit of using a quick mask?

2. What happens to a quick mask when you deselect it?

3. When you save a selection as a mask, where is the mask stored?

4. How can you edit a mask in a channel once you've saved it?

5. How do channels differ from layers?

1. The benefit of using a quick mask is that you can paint the image black or white, so you can view specific parts by hiding masks and deleting unwanted parts.

2.When the quick mask is deselected, it disappears.

3. When you save a selection as a mask, the mask is stored in a channel.

4.You can edit a mask in a channel once you have saved it by changing its colour to black white or grey.

5. Channels differ from layers because layers are used to separate parts of an image, whilst channels are used to store saved selections.
