Vector and Bitmap Images- Adobe Fireworks

1 What is one of the main differences between bitmaps and vectors when scaling is applied?
What are Auto Shapes, and where can you find them?
3 What is the Pen tool used for?
4 What does the Compound Shape tool do?

1 One of the main differences between bitmaps and vectors when scaling is applied is that in bitmap images, pixels become increasingly visible; making the image looks pixelated and could end in loss of image quality. In vectors, there is no loss of image quality.

2 The Auto Shapes are tools that create shapes in preset orientations. The Auto Shapes can, at any time be visually altered. The Auto Shapes are: Arrow, Arrow Line, Beveled Rectangle, Chamfer Rectangle, Connector Line, Doughnut, Shape, Measure Tool, Pie, Rounded Rectangle, Smart Polygon, Spiral and Star.

3 The pen tool is used for creating paths and selections. It can also be used for creating polygons and curvy shapes.

4 The Compound Shape can create multiple vectors and composite paths. It allows to edit single vector objects such as rectangles or circles to create compound shape, made up of several vectors or forms.
